The Role
As a BookKeeper, you’ll take ownership of the financial health of the organization, manage all aspects of Australian taxation, and lead initiatives to enhance financial processes. This role offers an opportunity to make a lasting contribution to a forward-thinking business in allied healthcare.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all facets of business income, ensuring financial accuracy and efficiency.
- Manage Australian tax compliance, including BAS lodgements and GST reporting.
- Utilize Xero to maintain accurate financial records, track expenses, and generate reports.
- Develop and implement financial policies, processes, and procedures for operational improvement.

Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to support
decision-making. - Collaborate with leadership to align financial strategies with business goals.
- Ensure adherence to Australian accounting standards and regulations.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably in the allied healthcare sector.
- Proven expertise in Australian taxation, including BAS lodgement and compliance.
- Proficiency in Xero accounting software.
- Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and principles.
- Demonstrated ability to manage all facets of business income and financial operations.
- Experience in process improvement and implementation of financial systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
- A proactive and detail-oriented approach to work. Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience working with SMEs in allied healthcare or similar industries.
- Familiarity with financial analysis tools and reporting software.
- Knowledge of Australian business regulations and compliance standards.
